The state of Florida issued a forceful response Wednesday to credit card companies that want to start tracking gun and ammunition sales, saying that if they proceed that the state will pass a law punishing those companies.
Visa, Mastercard, and American Express have reportedly decided to separately categorize firearm purchases at gun stores in a move that was praised by far-Left gun control advocates.
The credit card companies adopted the new Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) after they were set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Florida Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jimmy Patronis issued a strong statement warning that if the companies proceed with their plans that they will face penalties from the state of Florida.
