Republican effort led by House Energy and Commerce Committee chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) aims to stop the Biden regime from forcing all Americans to convert to electric vehicles, or EVs, as part of its radical “green” agenda for the country.
A majority of House Republicans signed on to a letter sent to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) taking aim at its “ill-considered effort” to interfere with the vehicle and energy markets “under the guise of mitigating climate change.”
A total of 151 GOP representatives signed their names to the opposition letter, which openly challenges an EPA plan to force more gas-powered vehicles off the market, to be replaced with more EVs, by the year 2027.
Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), Majority Whip Top Emmer (R-Minn.), and Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) all affixed their signatures to the letter, which was sent specifically to EPA Administrator Michael Regan.
